Malone Hat & Cowl Pattern by Shellie Anderson

Worked in stranded colourwork, the MALONE hat & cowl are knit in the round, starting with a waste yarn tubular cast on. The Cowl ends with a tubular BO. The high contrast of the two yarns creates a bold statement. Easy to knit, MALONE would be a great first time colorwork project for an advanced beginner.

The Hat measures 21.25″ circumference  9.25″ height

The Cowl 24″ circumference 9.25″ height

SKILL LEVEL Advanced Beginner

Shellie Designed the Hat and Cowl in Primrose Yarn Co, Rose Sport YARN in two colours for the project.  She uses one hank in a bold colour and one hank in a variegated colour.

You will need two hanks of yarn, both in a sport weight or light double knit.  Suggested length is 421metres in each colours.  I would suggest using The Fibre Co Road to China Light, Adriafil Sierra Andina or Isager Jensen Yarn

Add a fab Toft Pom Pom to finish the hat off

You will need needle sizes 2.75mm and a 3.75mm in a 40cm length.
