The tarasgeir Sweater is what made me first fall in love with Uist Wool. I saw the Uist Wool stand three years ago at the Edinburgh and fell in love. I knitted tarasgeir sweater in the cream
With its cropped hemline, statement sleeves and decorative edging the Tarasgeir Sweater works as hard for you cutting peat for the fire in a rain-drenched misty moorland as it does being cutting edge in the city.
This stunning and unique design led sweater takes just two hanks of the Uist DK. I knitted mine in Solas, a beautiful soft buttery cream colour. The yarn is a dream is to knit with, very bouncy.
Sizes for the patterns are
Small Chest size: 32 – 34 inches. (you will need 3x100g hanks), Medium Chest size 36 – 38 inches (you will need 4 x 100g hanks), Large 40 – 42 inches (you will need 4 x 100g hanks).
I would say that this pattern is for someone with intermediate skills of knitting.
