Snaefrid Legwarmers

Snaefrid legwarmers are knitted top down in the round and they are slightly shaped. They can be knitted without shaping which results in looser fit around ankles and requires slightly more yarn than stated. The pattern includes instructions for three sizes.

Materials

Jamieson & Smith 2 ply Jumper Weight 100% Real Shetland Wool

Yarn A – Shade 65 Green: 2 (2, 2) x 25g balls
Yarn B – Shade FC11 Lime: 1 (1, 1) x 25g ball Yarn C – Shade 203 Grey: 2 (2, 3) x 25g balls
Yarn D – Shade FC41 Teal: 1 (1, 1) x 25g ball
Yarn E – Shade FC39 Blue: 1 (1, 1) x 25g ball
Yarn F – Shade FC34 Turquoise: 1 (1, 1) x 25g ball

Actual amounts of yarn used: A 36 (40, 45)g, B 14 (15, 17)g, C 45 (50, 56)g, D 18 (20, 23)g, E 18 (20, 23)g, F 14 (15, 17)g

Needles and Notions

2.75mm (UK12/US2) and 3mm (UK11/US2-3) short DPNs, sets of five, or your preferred needles for working small diameters in the round, or sizes required to obtain tension
