Using a 3.5 mm 80 cm circular needle and 1 thread of each quality cast on 240 (288) sts and work 3 cm in K2, P2 rib in the round.
Then beg patt according to diagram.
Mark the two ’sideseams’ on the sweater when work measures 33 (37) cm and work front and back separately. Separate in the centre of one of the st st rows going all the way through the patt and cast on one new st at both sides. These new sts are edge sts which are knitted on all rows and right inside a st st row continues up along the sleeve edge.
