About the Design:
Helga Isager writes about the design:
Gunta Cowl is named after the German Weaver, Gunta Stölzl, who, with her beautiful graphic weavings, was one of the influential artists at The Bauhaus school in the 1920s.
I am currently very interested in the female weavers of Bauhaus, and I am working on a collection based on their works.
Gunta Cowl is worked in one strand of Isager Bouclé with a weaving pattern in Jensen Yarn. It is a good project for using scrap yarns, as you only need a few grams of each colour.
