The Danish knitwear designer Åse Lund Jensen was inspired by hen-knitting. A popular form of two stranded knitting in Denmark in the 1970's. Originally she designed this colour pattern for a pair of leggings, but when Marianne Isager made the book about Åse Lund Jensen, she made revamped the design for this sweater.

The colour-work sweater is knitted up using combination Isager Highland wool and Isager Alpaca 2

Main col: 50 g each of Isager Highland col Ocean,
Curry, Chocolate and Sky = 200 g
or
col Sand, Stone, Clay and Soil
Patt col: 50 g each of Isager Alpaca 2 col 11, 47, 59
and 61 = 200 g
or
col 47, 8s, 2s and 4s

TENSION
in st st
10 cm = 30 sts
10 cm = 33 rows
The tension is measured in patt with Highland as
main col and Alpaca 2 as patt col.
It is up to you to decide which colours to knit together.
Use Alpaca 2 as the dominant throughout.

CONSTRUCTION NOTES
The sweater is worked in the round from bottom up. Sleeves are worked separately.
