Isager Highland

Isager Highland is spun in Peru using Peruvian Highland sheep fleece.

The yarn comes in 23 shades.   The yarn has a relaxed 2 ply twist, making ideal for garments that need drape, such as a shawl.  Each yarn shade has a subtle tweedy effect, which is very subtle.  The yarn is perfect when added to a strand of Isager Silk Mohair, giving you a gorgeous DK weight yarn.

The EF team have used Highland Wool for Hill Vest by Helga Isager and the Simon Shawl designed by Twin Set and Purl.

Highland: 3 mm needles = 26 sts / 30 rows
Highland + Alpaca 1: 3 mm needles = 24 sts / 28 rows
Highland + Alpaca 2: 3.5 = 20 sts / 26 rows
Highland + Silk Mohair: 4 mm needles = 18 sts / 24 rows
