Isager Tweed

ISAGER TWEED is a single ply and a blend of 70% wool and 30% mohair. This beautiful yarn is produced in Kilcar, Donegal Ireland.  

This yarn has a slightly irregular, homespun look, yet the mohair fibres give the yarn a remarkable softness and a lovely sheen. Isager Tweed works equally well for both indoor and outdoor garments and with the small flecks in different colours the yarn has a very lively surface. 

We think this yarn is a light fingering weight yarn, but add a strand of Isager Silk Mohair and you have an aran weight yarn.  

• 70% wool and 30% mohair
• Meterage: 200 m in 50 g

• Mohair fibers from South Africa. Wool from Europe and Australia. Australia is the only region where mulesing occurs, but the wool in Isager Tweed is guaranteed mulesing free.
