Isager Tweed

ISAGER TWEED is a single ply and a blend of 70% wool and 30% mohair. This beautiful yarn is produced in Kilcar, Donegal Ireland.  

This yarn has a slightly irregular, homespun look, yet the mohair fibres give the yarn a remarkable softness and a lovely sheen. Isager Tweed works equally well for both indoor and outdoor garments and with the small flecks in different colours the yarn has a very lively surface. 

We think this yarn is a light fingering weight yarn, but add a strand of Isager Silk Mohair and you have an aran weight yarn.  

Mohair fibers from South Africa. Wool from Europe and Australia. Australia is the only region where mulesing occurs, but the wool in Isager Tweed is guaranteed mulesing free. Spun and dyed in Ireland
